While studying for his medical degree, David Livingstone provided the poor with free medical treatment at the Aldersgate Street Dispensary in London from January to June 1840 He was given this certifcate which attested to his regular attendance as the Dispensary signed by William Holt Yates MD, James Risdon Bennett MD and Arthur Farre.
