Description:

Jessie Lennox – shown here in her later years seated in a garden with a dog – was the maid of Anna Mackenzie who was with Mary Livingstone when she travelled to the Zambezi to be reunited with David in 1862. Lennox later trained as a nurse with Florence Nightingale.
