Medical Diploma
Description:
Robert Moffat, David Livingstone's father-in-law, was a missionary employed by the London Missionary Society and based in Kuruman (present-day South Africa). While in Kuruman, Moffat acted as the local doctor performing midwifery and treating minor ailments. In 1841, while home on leave in Britain, he was awarded this presumably honorary medical diploma from the University of Glasgow.
